Tamiya German King Tiger Production Turret Scale Model, 1:35
Tamiya's scale models possess such intricate detail that they are often described as "museum items". These models are nearly perfect replicas of full-size objects, shrunken down to a smaller scale. Through the process of assembling, painting and finishing these accurate models by hand, one is provided with a unique "three-dimensional" insight into the shape and vast detail of the full-sized object at a mere glance.
About this product:
- The King Tiger made its debut in 1944, toward the end of WWII, and proved a fearsome foe to the Allies, with 150 mm and 80 mm armor on the hull front and sides respectively, and a powerful 700hp Maybach HL230-P30 engine;
- The first fifty had a Porsche-designed turret, but thereafter mass-produced King Tigers had an updated turret designed by Henschel;
- The L/71 88 mm gun was upgraded from the Tiger I, and could defeat 170 mm of armor from a kilometer away;
- Some 430 of these King Tigers were produced until the end of the run in March 1945, proving a constant threat to the end;
- Length: 294 mm;
- Glue and paint are not included in the kit;
- Made in Japan.
