Holbein Acrylic Ink in Bottles
Holbein is one of the world’s premier manufacturers of professional artists’ materials, renowned for uncompromising quality and consistency. Founded in Japan before the turn of the 20th century and named after the revered European artist Hans Holbein in the 1930s, the brand has since grown into a global presence across Asia, North America, Europe, and Australia. Employing expert color chemists and using only the finest pigments, Holbein maintains the highest standards in every step of production, ensuring brilliance, permanence, and reliability in every batch. Unlike many competitors, Holbein offers no student-grade products—only professional-grade lines tailored to meet the exacting demands of serious artists. With a legacy of innovation and dedication to excellence, Holbein continues to be the artist’s choice worldwide.
About this product:
- Holbein Acrylic Ink maintains the same color composition and high pigment strength as found in the Holbein Heavy Body Acrylic, but with a significantly lower viscosity;
- This ink can be used directly without being thinned with water for bold, brilliant color when used with a brush, airbrush, dip pen and refillable marker;
- Ink can also achieve the subtle characteristics, washes and tones of watercolor painting;
- It is excellent for calligraphy, lettering and stamping;
- Holbein Acrylic Ink color offers excellent lightfast ratings, is water proof once dry and is fully intermixable with all of the acrylic products;
- Holbein Acrylic Ink is compatible with all other water media;
- Be careful when opening and closing as ink may spew out from the bottle - twist the cap 90 degrees to open and close;
- The pigments tend to settle at the bottom of the bottle - please shake well or stir with a stick before use;
- If other acrylic colors, gessoes, or mediums are applied on the top of the acrylic ink, the ink may bleed through the upper layers;
- The colors will fade away after wash if applied on fabric.
