Important to know before use:
DYLON Machine dye is designed for natural fabrics – cotton, linen, and viscose. Synthetic fibers and threads (such as polyester or spandex) won't absorb the dye, so seams may remain undyed and the garment may appear lighter overall. If synthetic content exceeds 20% of the fabric, the dye may not take at all. Wool and silk are not suitable for this range – these delicate fabrics aren't suited to washing machine use in general, for these fabrics, choose the Dylon Hand Dye range instead.
Check your fabric's composition beforehand so the final result meets your expectations, and we recommend testing on a small, inconspicuous area before dyeing the whole garment.
How to use:
- Place damp fabric into the drum. Remove the sleeve, peel off the lid, and place the DYLON color pod on top of the fabric;
- Run a full cotton cycle (104°F/40°C);
- Run another full cotton cycle (104°F/40°C) – with detergent;
- Full instructions can be found on the information leaflet;
- Suitable for: cotton, linen, and viscose. Mixing with synthetics will result in a lighter shade (pure synthetics will not dye);
- One pack dyes 1.3 lb (600g) of fabric to full shade, up to 4 lb (1.8kg) to a lighter shade.
